Let's be honest, one of the main incentives for being in a relationship is being able to have sex without paying for it. Sarcasm folks. As a female, it's hurtful when your dude can't perform. If you're in the same room as your boyfriend or husband, he should be rock hard at all times, overwhelmingly excited just to be in your presence. But sometimes it doesn't work that way, and you can't always get it when you want it. It feels personal and it's upsetting, but you're supposed to understand that that's how it works sometimes. On last Monday's episode, Melissa walked up to Joe and tried to show him some affection, but he wasn't having it. The couple's three young children were in the kitchen when Melissa approached Joe, which is when Joey began complaining because she didn't have sex with him when she came home last night.
I was equally as intrigued as I was disgusted. I was intrigued because I found out that married people actually have sex?! I always ask my married friends if the sex is still good and they say yes, but they're all pretty much in the newlywed phase. Doesn't count. The other feeling I was overcome with was one of disgust. Joe pretty much views his wife as his sex slave. It is her duty to f*ck him every single day and he thinks that not having sex for four days is inexcusable. What happens when Melissa's on the rag, out of town, or was in the late stages of her three pregnancies?!
When Joe was upset with Melissa, she called him "an a*s." It was awkward because you could tell that Melissa doesn't speak to him like that and Joe wouldn't have allowed that if cameras weren't present. He runs that household! Later in the episode, Joe basically bum rushes Melissa while she's in the closet and he drags his wife to the bedroom for sex. In another scene, Joe brags about his sex drive. Hey midget, you're still not manly!
I feel awful for Melissa. She doesn't want to have sex with her husband "everyday" because he's a selfish a-hole and selfish people are the worst in bed. Joe's idea of foreplay is probably whipping his wang out and puttin' it in. These shows are clearly scripted, but every once in a while a reality show gets real. Seeing a man who has been married for 7 years demanding sex from his wife (who is trying to take care of their three children, cook, clean, and remain hot like he wants her to) is awful. Hopefully some people will give Joe sh!t for his behavior and he'll learn to start getting rid of his "poison," aka jizz, by jacking off sometimes.
